The Health and Early Years Programme area has full and part-time courses for those interested in the Health, Social Care or Child Care sectors.
We provide full-time courses aimed at those leaving school designed to equip them with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enter the caring sector or progress to higher education.
The Health & Early Years Programme Area also offer part-time courses for those wishing to return to work or who already work in the sector and want to achieve the necessary qualifications for professional development. Our courses are mainly based at the Delancy Campus and include:
I had no experience in childcare before this course I have learnt loads and am really enjoying the experience. The assignments need quite a bit of time to do but I have done little bits each week so it doesn’t seem so bad. I have made some great new friends.
Jane TorodeI have found this course very interesting and educational. I now know a lot more about children and young people. It has encouraged me to do more with children as I now have more confidence and knowledge to do so. It was hard work but worthwhile.
Rebecca SmithI found this course interesting and it has helped me a lot. It has been a little difficult because I am a single mother of two children aged 3-5 years, but I am glad I did it as it will help to further my career.
Stacy PiresThis course has enabled me to do something I have always wanted to do. I have enjoyed the challenge. It has been hard work but I have learnt so much about children and how they develop and learn.
