The Literacy Workshop

The Literacy Workshop allows you to:

• work on your own or as part of a group
• join at any time of the year
• work at your own pace
• choose your own attendance time
• get advice about your literacy needs
• get support from your personal tutor
• attend as often as you wish to get extra help
• borrow a range of booklets and study aids for use in the workshop

The Guernsey College Literacy Programme Workshop is experienced in the delivery of flexible open learning literacy

Courses

The Literacy Workshop offers a wide variety of flexible courses and options including:

• IGCSE English
• Adult literacy courses (entry level and levels 1 & 2)
• Back-up for all professional qualifications
• Help for post 16 school students
• Help for adult learners at all ability levels who wish to improve their literacy skills without working towards a specific examination
• Help with writing a CV
• Help with preparing for job interviews

The Facilities of the Literacy Workshop are available to everyone

During these times the workshop tutors are always available to discuss, advise and help you with your choice of study programme.

The Literacy Workshop is located in room 206 on the top floor of the main College building at the Route des Coutanchez and in room D24 of the Russell Building at Delancey
