The Office Administration department offers two full-time, 1 year, Administration courses:
Certificate in Administration (Level 1) booklet
Diploma in Administration (Level 2) booklet
These courses are aimed at school leavers, but not exclusively, to equip them with the skills they would require for working in a busy office environment. Successful students will finish this course with a very impressive CV.
We also offer a 10 week part-time course (4 days a week), called 'Pathways' (booklet). This course is aimed at those returning to work after having some time away, such as mothers with the aim of giving them skills required to work in an office environment.
We have a new Day Release course which will take place on Wednesdays. The course is a Level 3 Diploma in Administration which is aimed at in-work secretaries PAs and administrators - see brochure (brochure) for further details.
We also offer part-time shorthand courses for beginners and for those wanting to increase their speed. You may be wondering what shorthand is…..well, it is a form of speed writing to enable professionals, such as journalists and secretaries to take down notes very quickly. For more information please follow the link to our booklet.
Students wanting to develop their Word Processing skills and other general IT skills can attend our Flexible Learning Centre.
Our department is based at the Brock Road Annexe, which is a small and friendly site and is shared with the Hair & Beauty and Built Environment Students.
