We offer a four year Part time day release IMI Craft Apprenticeship for employed status students in the Motor Vehicle industry.

The Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair  programme covers a broad scope of skills for all road vehicle types, with apprentices from both commercial, public sector and private garages, as well as providing modules in later years for marine engineers to complement their mechanical engineering modules.

The day-release programme is comprised of a number of units, including a number of those relevant to general engineering.

Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 2 units

Health, Safety and Good Housekeeping in the Automotive Environment.

Supporting Job Roles in the Automotive Environment.

Materials, Fabrication, Tools and Measuring Devices used in the Automotive Environment.

Light Vehicle Engine Mechanical, Lubrication and Cooling System Units and Components.

Light Vehicle Fuel, Ignition, Air and Exhaust System Units and Components.

Removing and Replacing Light Vehicle Electrical Units and Components.

Removing and Replacing Light Vehicle Chassis Units and Components.

Removing and Replacing Light Vehicle Transmission and Driveline Units and Components

Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3 units

Overhauling Light Vehicle Engine Mechanical Units.

Diagnosing and Rectifying Light Vehicle Engine Faults.

Diagnosing and Rectifying Light Vehicle Chassis System Faults.

Diagnosing and Rectifying Vehicle Auxiliary Electrical Faults.

Diagnosing and Rectifying Light Vehicle Transmission and Driveline Faults.
