How do I apply for a full-time course?
The process for applying for a full-time place at college in 2022 begins in October 2021 when we visit schools for joint talks with the Sixth Form Centre, to which students and parents are invited. After the formal talks have taken place, there is time to chat with Programme Leaders about the courses on offer. Details of these visits and other key dates and information can be found below.
Thursday 7 October – St Anne’s School
Wednesday 13 October – La Mare De Carteret High School
Thursday 14 October – Grammar School (private colleges are invited to this event)
Wednesday 20 October – Les Beaucamps High School
Thursday 21 October – St Sampson’s High School
Wednesday 3 November – Les Voies School
Thursday 4 November- Le Murier School
Held in the Hall at Les Ozouets Camps between 4pm and 7pm on Thursday 18 November 2021, this event gives students, parents and carers the opportunity to chat to programme teams about the courses on offer and what is involved in these, and have a go at relevant taster activities.
Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, the planned Year 11 taster morning was not able to go ahead on 19 January.
Individual student guidance discussions
The next stage is when our Programme Leaders visit the high schools to have a more detailed discussion with each student about themselves, the course they are interested in, and their career aspirations. These take place from the end of January 2022 and throughout February. Students at the private colleges who are interested in applying for a course here in September will need to have one of these meetings with a Programme Leader, and should speak to their Careers Teacher to arrange this. All students will be asked to complete a Google form prior to their one-to-one meeting.
We have launched a site with information and activities to help students in their Post-16 decision making. This can be viewed HERE. Students who are home-schooled or who are not currently in education are also very welcome to undertake these activities.
We will be holding the following Bridging Courses:
Level 2 and Level 3 courses – Wednesday 29 June 2022
Further information will be shared with careers teachers, students and parents/carers during May.
Level 1 courses – Thursday 8 September 2022
Further information will be available on the website from 4 July; this will also be shared with students and parents/carers.
A list of specific entry requirements for our full time courses and apprenticeships can be downloaded HERE.
