The Health & Social Care programme area has full and part-time courses for those interested in the health & social care sectors.
We provide full-time courses aimed at those leaving school designed to equip them with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enter the caring sector or progress to higher education.
We are developing new part-time courses for 2019 including Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing and Level 2 Technical Certificate in Adult Care qualifications. The Health & Social Care programme area also offer part-time courses for those wishing to return to work or who already work in the sector and want to achieve the necessary qualifications for professional development. Our full-time courses are mainly based at the Delancey Campus and include:
- Level 1 BTEC Introductory Diploma in Vocational Studies
- Level 2 BTEC Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care
- Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care

Additional learning support
As part of your learning programme, if you have not yet attained a grade C/4 or equivalent in mathematics and English language, you will be required to study a Functional Skill or GCSE in these subjects.
Students may require additional support for a number of reasons. At the start of your course you will be asked to complete an initial assessment in order for us to identify any additional needs that you may have. During your course, your personal tutor will be able to guide you on how best to access support.
