Welcome to the College Library

The campus libraries provide a safe, welcoming space for students to study, socialise or find some quiet time in between lessons. As well as the books and magazines to support their course, students will find comfortable seating, fiction books, jigsaws, board games, mindful colouring and study areas with computers.

Library staff are available on both campuses to support students with questions about research for their assignments, and the team focus is on providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for every student. Contact librarystaff@gcfe.net for further information.

Coutanchez Library

This large airy room is the perfect tranquil place to come and get away from it all. With computer access and large tables for group work or just to spread out your stuff on, you’ll find it a doddle to get that assignment finished. This is where to come when you want resources for Building and Construction subjects, Catering, ICT, ESOL, teacher training and functional skills. We also have a rather good little fiction section if that’s your bag.

Delancey Library

If you like a bit of buzz in your library why not try out Delancey library? This place is always full of people studying, socialising. A word of warning though, if you want to reduce distractions, bring your headphones! Come here for resources relating to Health and Social Care, Early Years, Art & Design, and Sport. If you’re new to reading for pleasure and don’t know where to start, this campus library has a fantastic selection of books that are easier to read, as well as more challenging fiction for those that like it.
