Open Evenings at the College Campuses

The College is holding separate open evenings at each of its three campuses during November in order to showcase the wide range of courses on offer. The events offer prospective students and their parents the ideal opportunity to discuss their educational options and course details with course lecturers, personal tutors and current students. Visitors will be offered the chance to take a closer look at the college and its facilities.

College Principal Louise Misselke explained the importance of this type of open event:

‘People are regularly surprised at the broad spectrum of courses that the college offers. We work very closely with the local business community to review our curriculum in order to ensure that it provides the workforce with the skills and qualifications appropriate to the island’s current and future needs.

‘We provide full and part time vocational training, apprenticeships and professional qualifications as well as a comprehensive adult education programme. From beauty therapy to accountancy, from engineering to IT, there truly is something for everyone and I would encourage everyone – prospective students, parents or employers – to come and take a closer look.’

The events take place on Tuesday 21 November (Delancey Campus), Wednesday 22 November (Coutanchez Campus) and Thursday 23 November (Les Ozouets Campus); each runs from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

Delancey Campus is home to the Access, Creative & Digital Arts, Early Years (Childcare) and Health & Social Care courses.

Coutanchez is the college base for the Construction and Engineering, Built Environment, Apprenticeships, IT, and Hospitality & Catering Departments.

Les Ozouets is where our Hairdressing and Beauty training salons are located, together with students studying Office Administration, Business, Finance & Management, Retail, Public Services, Sport and Performing Arts & Dance.

Tours of each campus will take place, and staff from each programme area will be happy to discuss courses, potential career pathways, and opportunities for progression to employment or higher education.

Visitors to each campus will be able to find out more about undertaking one of the college’s many part time qualifications.
