The Craft Guild of Chefs CI Chef of the Year Competition 2017

Entries are now open for this year’s The Craft Guild of Chefs Channel Islands Chef of the Year Competition 2017.

The competition has two classes

The Junior Competition – open to all students attending Highlands College or Guernsey College of Further Education as of May 2017 (or have been attending within the previous 12 months).
The Senior Competition – open to all chefs aged 23 years or over.
Competitors may come from all areas of the hospitality sector including hotels, restaurants,
pubs, contract catering, fine dining, private and public sectors but must be working in any of
the Channel Islands.

Chefs, who need to include specific local produce in their dishes, will be assessed on a number of criteria including balance of menu, seasonality, timing as well as taste.
