Purpose of the Course

The creative sector covers a multitude of different fields – graphic design, 3D animation, fashion design, illustration, photography film making, textile design, model making, sculpture, painting. These courses are designed to give you a wide and varied exposure to the many different types of creative media focusing on the essential skills required for all creative industries, as well as giving you the opportunity to specialise in an area that supports your career ambitions.

Our Level 3 course will prepare you well for progression to a prestigious university or art college. Alternatively, you can progress into the thriving creative industry on island, or enroll onto our HNC/D in Art & Design which has been developed with a strong collaboration with local employers giving you excellent opportunities to undertake work placements and live projects.

We pride ourselves on our commercial and employer links, and have developed many initiatives where you will be able to learn industry techniques from professionals and visiting artists as well as tackling live briefs from external clients, which all contribute to your developing essential skills for working in a creative industry.

Course Outline

We are proud to be working with University of the Arts London – an art specific awarding organisation. UAL design and award creative qualifications that empower and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Our courses are delivered through a series of art and design projects that enable you to develop your skills in a wide range of creative media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, 3D animation, film making, computer games and graphic design. You will gain both fine art and digital skills on the course and the project structure allows you to explore an area of special interest.

The course equips you with a combination of practical skills and theory in order that you will be successful in entering the creative world through either university or industry.  We celebrate your achievements with an end of year exhibition where all students display their work for employers, families and friends.
